The St.Mary’s Jacobite Syrian Cathedral, Manarcadu under the guidance, supervision and belief of His Holiness Ignatius Zakka I Iwas, Prince Patriach of Antioch and all the East, is well recognised as the global Marian Pilgrim Center. The Cathedral is the focal point of cultural, social, educational and economic renaissance of Manarcadu and the adjoining villages. The famous eight day feast of St. Mary, popularly known as Ettuunoyambu Thirunal, held during 1-8 September every year attracts lakhs of devotees from all over the world. The Cathedral administers large number of educational and charitable institutions including St. Mary’s ITC, Higher Secondary School, CBSE School, Hospital and Nursing School.
