St. Mary’s College offers a BSc in Zoology with a specialization in Wildlife Biology and Biotechnology. This program was introduced at the College in the year 2001. As part of the program, on-the-job training for a period of three weeks in wildlife conservation and laboratory techniques is provided at the Centre for Wildlife Studies, and a separate certificate is issued by them. Students of our department have the opportunity to select a subject of their choice from courses offered by different Departments of the College. The Zoology Department offers an open course for students from other departments. Students of the Zoology Department are also enrolled in various programs like Walk with Scholar, a higher-level academic mentoring program, the Student Support Programme, the Additional Skill Acquisition Programme (ASAP), NSS, and NCC.
